The planting campaign starts in Kunar

Hashmatullah Ghafouri, deputy minister of irrigation and natural resources of the Ministry of Agriculture (MAIL), continued his visit to Kunar province, together with governor and a number of local officials of the province, planted several saplings and inaugurated planting campaign.
Mr. Ghafouri said at a ceremony which was held in Kunar province that during the campaign, 86,000 saplings are planted from home-nursery of MAIL in Kunar.
He called on Kunar residents to participate in the mentioned campaign and pay attention to the maintenance and cultivation of the seedlings.
Similarly, Mohammad Iqbal Saeed the governor of Kunar said at the ceremony that 1.8 million various seedlings, fruit and fruitless, ornamental and forest, will be planted in Kunar province, along with the private sector and the Directorate of Agriculture. 86,000 seedlings are planted by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Mr. Saeed said that planting these saplings are useful in the greenery of the environment and climate change and asked the people of Kunar to plant every sapling in the province for the greenery and beauty of the environment.
Planting campaign in Kunar province starts in February and continues until March.
