The Minister of Agriculture visits the Directorate of Animal Health and Investigates areas for improving Animal Health Services

Dr. Anwar al-Haq Ahady, minister of agriculture, irrigation and livestock, visited the directorate of Animal Health and the directorate of Livestock Services of the Ministry located in Darulaman. The aim of this meeting was to hear the issues and receive the necessities in order to boost the work of this directorate.
He visited the administrations, laboratories, Vaccine Bank and other sections of this directorates and asked them about the problems, needs and areas for improvement.
The officials of the mentioned directorate presented their achievements, plans and problems. Regarding their problems, they said that a number of staff in the department have doctoral and master's degrees and are professional, but they have not been promoted. They also added that people with low salaries are employed in quarantine stations at customs, while professionals with better salaries should be hired to get better results from these centers.
After that, Mr. Ahady told the officials of the directorate of Animal Health to propose plans to improve their regulation and needs.
He also instructed the directorate of animal health on the production and injection of animal vaccines to examine the needs and clarify how the work of producing or purchasing vaccines will end and from which country it will be cheaper, so that according to an easier plan, Provide and inject animal vaccines.
