Turnip Yields in Herat province have reached 4,500 Tons

Officials of Herat’s Department of Agriculture say that 2,500 Hectares of Turnip land were planted in Herat province this year, of which about 4,500 Tons of Turnips were harvested.
Turnip is a green, white or purple root vegetable with uneven leaves and many cuts.
Turnip cultivation in Herat province is done based on the interest of the farmers of this province.
Turnip is not only valuable in terms of vitamins and minerals, but also excels in other non-food properties and is considered an important vegetable.
Turnip belongs to the family of vegetables such as Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Kale and mustard.
Turnip is an ideal vegetable of Afghan people and it is used more in winter.
