Achievements of Faryab Directorate of Agriculture in 1399

The Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Faryab Province says that this year, through the Ministry of Agriculture's agricultural products management project, 300 raisin houses, 10 onion warehouses and 150 potato warehouses worth 221 million 405 thousand 330 AFN have been built in Faryab and utilized in the province.
Officials of the mentioned directorate of Agriculture say that 408 metric tons of improved wheat seeds have been distributed to 14,160 farmers in 14 districts and the center of Faryab this year, and two extension sections have been built at a cost of 49,900,000 Afghanis.
This year, 250 acres of new orchards, including apples, grapes, pear, berries, pomegranates, apricots and peaches, have been built in different districts of Faryab province. Construction of 28 irrigation networks worth 3 million and 200,000 Afghanis, construction of eight greenhouses at a cost of 1,280,000 Afghanis in cooperation with (JICA) in eight districts and distribution of 28 dairy cows at a cost of 840,000 Afghanis to women in cooperation with JICA It also includes the activities of the Faryab directorate of Agriculture this year.
This year, work has been done in development and cultivation of saffron and soybean, distribution of saffron planting and harvesting packages for saffron growers, fight against pests and plant diseases, implementation of animal vaccines and greening of Faryab directorate of Agriculture.
