The Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Daikundi Province reported on its activities in various fields of agriculture, horticulture and livestock at a reporting conference held by the Governor's Office.
According to the directorate, in 1399, 50 onion warehouses in six districts of Daikundi cost 22 million 155 thousand 210 Afghanis, 199 potato warehouses in eight districts cost 110 million 238 thousand 438 Afghanis, 21 cold stores of zero energy apples cost 49 million and 570 thousand and 437 Afghanis has been built, and also 326 metric tons of wheat seeds worth 1,556,000 Afghanis has been distributed to 6,520 farmers in ten districts.

At the same time, the directorate has been able to plant 753 acres of apple, almond, pomegranate, peach, plum, apricot, etc. orchards this year at a cost of 3.80 million Afghanis and prune 800,000 saplings.
Six thousand saplings have also been distributed to government offices, farms and breeding centers have been revived.
The Daikundi Directorate of Agriculture has been able to implement dozens of other small and large projects in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, protection of natural resources, and helping to improve the families' economy this fiscal year.
