26 Million AFN worth Goods Sold at Badam Bagh’s Spring Exhibition

The spring agricultural exhibition of 2019 (1398 Solar Year) ended in Kabul today. According to the figures, pavilion holders sold 26 million AFN worth goods and made 78 million AFN in potential deals.

Akbar Rustami, spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL), said, “During the 22nd Spring Exhibition from March 22-26, the pavilion holders sold 26 million AFN worth goods and made 78 million AFN worth in potential deals.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) hosted farmers’ festival and 22nd Spring Exhibition from March 22-26 (Hamal 2-6, 1398 Solar Year) in Kabul’s Badam Bagh, drawing over 50,000 spectators.

In the exhibition, 230 pavilions including 61 pavilions of women handicrafts, agricultural products, machineries, and agricultural goods were displayed.

Rustami added that the exhibition was aimed at marketing for agricultural products, establishing relations between producers, processers and traders, as well as selling of women’s handicrafts.

Rustami further stated that saffron bulbs, women’s handicrafts, animal and agricultural products, fresh and dried fruits, honey, and medical and industrial plants are among the products which had the most sales and potential deals.
