The ‘Shadian’ Apple Producers Association was established in Nahar Shahi district of Balkh province with the assistance of the National Horticulture and Livestock Program (NHLP) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL).

Balkh agriculture directorate said that the association has been established in ‘Shadian’ village for marketing of horticulture products and creation of coherence among gardeners.

Apple producers of Shadian had earlier complaints of lack of market for their products but with the creation of this association, the problem can be solved.
