More than 60,000 saplings are going to be planted in this year's planting campaign in Herat

The planting campaign was officially inaugurated yesterday in Pashtun-Pol area of Guzara district with the presence of Mahnesa Hassanzadeh, deputy governor, Abdul Saboor Rahmani, director of agriculture of Herat and Nasir Ahmad Fazli, director of environmental protection, with colleagues from the directorate of Agriculture, media representatives and farmers.
Abdul Saboor Rahmani, director of agriculture in Herat, says: "In this campaign expected to distribute and plant more than 60,000 Decorative, fruitful and non-fruitful seedlings based on the provincial government quota for security agencies, nineteen districts and government departments for greenery and the fight against environmental pollution in Herat. "
The planting campaign is launched according to the annual plans of Herat Directorate of Agriculture in order to create green space and prevent air pollution.
At the opening ceremony of the seedling campaign, Herat's director of agriculture called on people to play a greater role in protecting seedlings and strengthening the process.
In this campaign, the Directorate of Agriculture is supposed to plant, irrigate and protect about 20,000 seedlings in its respective areas.
The planting process in Herat starts every year from 15 Dalwa (February-3) and continues until the second of Hamal (March- 22).
