Conversation of the Minister of Agriculture with the Charge D'Affaires of the US Embassy in Kabul

The Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahady, spoke today via video call with Ross Wilson, Chargé d'Affaire of the US Embassy in Kabul.
The talks focused on the growth of Agricultural sector, cooperation between the Department of Agriculture and the United States, as well as US-funded projects in the sector and future plans were also discussed.
The Minister of Agriculture, thanked the United States for its assistance in Agricultural sector, and explained it's future's plans, projects, for the Agricultural sector to the other side.
Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Kabul discussed their work in partnership with the (ADF)or Agricultural Development Fund, which is part of the US Relief Fund, facilitates farming, implementation of alternative Livelihood projects, and other US-funded programs.
Mr. Ross Wilson, also added "that in production and processing of fresh fruits in Afghanistan, more work should be done on standardization to pave the way for more exports of these products to global markets.
The Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Afghanistan also said "about the (ADF) or the Afghanistan Agricultural Development Fund that loans through this structure should be better given to agr Agricultural activists.
In the end, Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahady, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, reminded "that in the near future there are plans to meet more with the other side about programs that focus on specific cooperation.
