Breath for the future; One thousand Saplings planted in Kabul

Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, in cooperation with the Turkish Embassy and (TIKA) Agency, planted 1,000 Saplings in Qala-e-Muslim of Kabul.
The planting program that called »Breath for the Future« was launched by Turkey.
Every year on November 11, Turkey plants 11 Million saplings in 26 countries to prevent air pollution. Afghanistan is one of these countries.
Breath for the Future project is responsive to the challenges the world faces in the future when we see the future dimensions of the project, said Mahboubullah Nang, Caretaker of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock and Director of seed certification.
He added, that the planting program in Afghanistan at the Kabul level is being implemented under the Green Belt project.
In the next ten years, we will see tens of thousands of Hectares of new forests and green areas.
Mr. Nang says that in the last few years, about 3,000 Hectares of Green belts have been created in different areas of Kabul.
Meanwhile, Turkish Embassy Undersecretary Atasay Irungun said at the Autumn planting ceremony, that We are here to plant 1,000 Saplings through Breath for the Future campaign in 2020.
Mr. Irungun added that he hopes that every year by planting seedlings this area will become a forest and the air of Kabul will be refreshed.
Meanwhile, Zohtu Chal, Head of the Turkish Development Agency (TIKA) in Afghanistan, said that planting is taking place in 81 cities, 911 districts of Turkey and 26 countries today.
