Minister of Agriculture meets with Pakistani Ambassador in Kabul: Talks on improving agricultural trade between two countries

Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahady, minister of agriculture, irrigation and livestock, met with Mansour Ahmad Khan, Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Kabul, during the meeting, trade of agricultural products between the two countries were discussed.
In this meeting, Mr. Ahady, in addition to emphasizing the improvement of trade relations of agricultural products, especially in the fruit season, stressed that the borders of two countries should be opened in the fruit season and other agricultural products.
The Minister of Agriculture said, “Sometimes some problems are created in trade of agricultural products with Pakistan and these issues should be discussed and the problems should be resolved bilaterally.”
Also at the meeting, Mr. Ahady said that customs tariffs should not change seasonally and the two sides should have more interaction, because the two countries form each other's product markets.
During the meeting, in the field of agricultural products trade, it was agreed with the Ambassador of Pakistan that specific issues and problems need to be solved by a delegation, to be determined so that customs tariffs do not change in different agricultural seasons.
The Pakistani ambassador expressed optimism that trade relations between the two countries would improve and expand.
