The Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) of Nangarhar Province said that since 2018, 2,681 acres of new orchards have been built in the province via Agriculture and Rural Development Project (CBARD).

In addition to construction of these orchards in Chaparhar, Achin, Khogyani, Shirzad, Kot and Rudat districts, 902 packages of gardening equipment have been distributed to farmers of Nangarhar. These orchards include citrus, pomegranate, amlouk, peach, apple, clementine, walnut , cherry and peach.
