Construction of 335 Onion Warehouses and 186 Raisins Houses in seven provinces
HVCDSP Horticulture Value Development Project of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, has built 335 Onion warehouses and 186 Raisin houses to support farmers in the country, most of which have been completed and put into operation. other buildings will be completed in a week.
Of the total projects, 335 onion warehouses are located in Kabul, Bamyan, Paktia, Paktika, Maidan Wardak, Logar and Ghazni provinces, by exploiting them, farmers will be able to store more than 4,000 Tons of Onions annually.
These warehouses will be built at a total cost of 164 Million 933 thousand 230 Afghanis. 80 percent of this cost is provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and the other 20 percent by beneficiaries.
Also, 186 Raisins houses have been built in Kabul, Paktika, Logar and Ghazni provinces at a total cost of 159,445,542 Afghanis, of which only 20% is paid by farmers.
The Raisins house has the capacity to turn 12 to 15 Tons of Grapes into Raisins at a time.
