Women in changing world of work: work opportunities for 500 women in Nuristan

Officials in Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Nuristan Province say that 500 women have been provided with jobs in the agricultural sector in the province.
The directorate of Nuristan Agriculture said that in this province, work has been equalized for 500 women by building home gardens, distributing greenhouse equipment, distributing various vegetable seeds, and teaching greenhouse cultivation and processing products.
Meanwhile, the Nuristan directorate of agriculture has trained these women in the skills of saffron cultivation and cultivation so, that they can meet their family needs from home by working in agriculture sector.
The aim of distributing home gardens is to provide food security, grow the economy of rural poor families, reduce poverty, and provide employment opportunities for women.
