Two Irrigation Canals put into operation in Badakhshan

The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has recently exploited two Sub-Irrigation canals in Badakhshan province through the (PARBSP) Pano Amo Marine Basin Project.
Malangab and Sakha canals are located in Baharak district of Badakhshan province, which irrigates about 360 Hectares of Agricultural land.
The construction of these canals was started last year by the Panj Amu Sea Sector Basin Project, which has been operational after one Year.
With the construction of these canals, water disputes between the Peasants of this district have been resolved and water will basically reach their farms.
The total length of the mentioned canals is 4.9 KM. These channels directly cover about 1,800 families. The construction of these two canals has largely solved the water problems of the covered Peasants.
About 7.2 Million Afghanis were spent on the construction of the mentioned canals, which was paid by the Asian Development Bank.
