Implementation of 948 projects began

Hashmatullah Ghafori Deputy Minister of Irrigation and Natural Resources at MAIL, during his Kandahar trip, inaugurated Agriculture products management project in Daman district of the province.
A total of 948 projects, including 900 Raisin Houses and 48 Cold Storages for Pomegranate are to be built in Kandahar province.
The construction of Cold Storages and Raisin Houses costs about 520 million AFG.
Abdul Hanan Manib Deputy governor and a number of other local officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
900 Raisin houses each with a capacity of 16 Metric Tons are to be built in Kandahar at a total cost of 332 million Afghanis.
Kandahar is one of the largest producers of Grapes in the country and the construction of these Raisin Houses can solve some of the problems of grape growers.
It's said that 48 Zero Energy Cold Storages are being built for maintaining Pomegranates in Kandahar Province at the cost of 124 million Afghanis.
Pomegranate of Kandahar is famous in the country and the world and the construction of its maintenance infrastructure can help to manage the prices of pomegranates in the Market and can strengthen the economies of gardeners.
Several other projects including distribution of sun-dried fruits and vegetables also includes Agricultural Management Project.
Hundreds of people will be employed during the construction of these projects. after the completion of these Agricultural infrastructures some people will be provided for permanent work.
