Hashmatullah Ghafoori, deputy minister for irrigation and natural resources at MAIL, Participated in a joint meeting held at the World Bank office in Kabul.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the World Bank, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL), Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Energy and Water.
The meeting focused on how On Farm Water Management Project (OFWMP) works and the launch of a new irrigation project in the country. At the meeting, participants were also given specific tasks to provide better contexts and to carry out the baseline activities of the new project.
It should be noted that the new irrigation project will operate in seven zones of the country over the next six years.
