Reconstruction of “Hokomran” Irrigation Network Completed in Balkh

The reconstruction of ‘Hokomran’ irrigation network was completed in Naher Shahi district of Balkh province.

The network has been reconstructed by the On Farm Water Management Project (OFWMP) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL).

The network irrigates 200 acres of agricultural land.

The network is some 1.2 kilometer long, and benefits 2,100 people.

The network has cost a total of 7.4 million AFN, being funded by OFWMP.
