Process of picking Saffron flowers began in Helmand

In order to promote saffron cultivation in Helmand province, the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock had set up 12 Demonstration farms in the province, and now it is time to harvest its flowers.
Zalmai Alko, Director of Agriculture of Helmand province says that saffron cultivation in Helmand was successful, I hope it grows in Helmand.
Mr. Alko says that he has set up 12 Theatrical farms in Helmand to promote Saffron's cultivation.
He stated that necessary equipment’s have also been distributed to the beneficiaries of these demonstration’s farms.
In addition, he had given these Leas ants the cost of strengthening the farm and paving it.
Helmand's Director of Agriculture says that increasing farmers' incomes through saffron cultivation is one of the main goals of building these demonstration farms.
Mr. Alko added that the climate of Helmand is decent for saffron cultivation and the hope of this Department is that this cultivation will boost in Helmand.
It should be said that last year, 15 Saffron’s show farms were built in Helmand, from which satisfactory results were obtained.
