Acting Minister of Agriculture: Projects should cover more provinces

Officials of the Community Livestock and Agriculture Project (CLAP) and the Second National Priority Support Program (SNaPP2) briefed the nominee and Acting Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahady, on their activities, achievements, Budget and areas of coverage.
Mustafa Hamid Zia, the director of these projects, provided information about the achievements of these projects and other details.
After that, Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahady, the nominee and acting Minister of Agriculture, said that there should be regular planning to increase the budget and expand the areas covered by these projects, and the activities of these projects should cover more provinces.
The CLAP Agriculture and Livestock Project operates in Kabul, Parwan, Logar, Nangarhar, Herat, Balkh and Baghlan provinces. Food supply and poverty reduction are the goals of this project.
The project launched in 2014 with the support of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and its activities were extended until 2022 with the funding of this fund.
The Second National Priority Support Program (SNaPP2) is also a development project of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The program works to improve food security, increase incomes, create jobs and improve the economic situation of poor Rural families in Balkh, Herat, Nangarhar, Kabul, Logar, Parwan and Baghlan provinces.
