30,000 Liters of Milk Produced Daily in Balkh

Balkh Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Directorate said, that there are about 35 active Livestock farms in the province and 35,000 liters of milk are produced daily from dairy farms in the province.
Balkh Dairy Company, Pakizeh and Sultan Tazeh, collect and process milk from the fourteen districts of Balkh every day.
In addition, farms are also active in raising fleshy animals, which provide meat to the people of Balkh province by keeping 1,700 calves.
General Director of Animal Health of Balkh Province Mohammad Rafiq Sadeqi said, that Balkh Agriculture Department has implemented 120,000 doses of vaccine this year, and has also established veterinary clinics in 14 districts.
Mr. Sadeqi added, Brucellosis vaccine, Congo fever, PPR and FMD are implemented freely in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, all vaccine diseases, and approximately one to two million doses of vaccine for small animals and 100,000 to 200,000 large animals get vaccinated every year.
Mohammad Shahed a farmer in Balkh province, and one of the founders of cattle farm in Dehdadi district of Sheikhabad village said, currently we have 100 to 150 dairy cows,
producing 700 to 800 Liters of milk per day, and a record of 1,200 to 1,500 liters, This Milk is collected by companies and offered to the market.
Gulbuddin who is a labor in cattle farm says, We milk the cows twice a day, the milk is clean and regular, the cows' food is grass and weeds, we ask our compatriots that those who are capitalists are businessmen, they should prepare themselves in this country, so that we do not go abroad and become miserable.
Meanwhile, the daily production of all dairy products in the province reaches 95,000 tons, of which 30,000 tons are sold by livestock farms and the rest by the people individually.
