In a series of full details of projects related to the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Ahmad Farid Raid, Head of Horticulture Value Chain Project, HVCDSP, provided full details for Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahady, Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock about Horticulture Value Chain project, which has been operating in various fields of Agriculture, especially Horticultural development.
since 2019 in Kabul, Logar, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Ghazni, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, Nangarhar, Kunar and Laghman provinces, is scheduled to continue until 2024.
Presenting the details of the project activities to the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Ahmad Farid Raide said that the Horticultural Value Chain project in various sectors, including the construction of Potato, Onion, Raisin Orchards, construction of various Orchards, promotion of drip irrigation, as well as providing financial assistance.
Meanwhile, Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahady stated the Horticultural Value Chain project as important in developing Horticulture and paving the way for increasing fruit production.
He said that efforts should be made to launch and implement the project in other provinces as well, with the need and cooperation of the Asian Development Bank.
The Horticulture chain project is funded by the Asian Development Bank.
