Continuation of German support for some Projects of MAIL

Hashmatullah Ghafouri, deputy MAIL for Irrigation and Natural Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL), attended a meeting of Afghan and German officials to discuss the continuation of Germen country's cooperation on MAIL projects. In addition to Deputy Minister of Irrigation and Natural Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Finance and senior officials of Energy Regulatory Authority and Breshna Company joined in this meeting on behalf of Afghanistan. On behalf of Germany, Axel Zilder, German Ambassador to Kabul and other high-ranking German officials attended the meeting online.
The two sides discussed and exchanged their outlooks about Afghanistan's national priorities, creating job opportunities, climate change, energy, comprehensive peace, cooperation outside the priority area and framework of cooperation. In addition, (FLRL) was another focus of the meeting. The aim of this project is to rehabilitate forests, better regulation of ecosystem and upgrading capacity to reduce the effects of climate change and to resist these changes.
Federal Republic of Germany officials said at the meeting,” The country would continue to support the Ministry of Agriculture's projects, including national priorities, economic development and Afghanistan's agricultural development.”
