ADDENDUM No: 2, Procurement of Design, Supply and Installation of Grain Steel Silo for Kabul Province

(a)  Participation as contractor or management contractor, or subcontractor, in at least one (1) contract within the last five (5) years, each with a value of at least: 4,7 Million US Dollar, that have been successfully and substantially completed (the bidder must provide a certificate for at least two years of satisfactory operation for one project) and that are similar to the proposed Steel Grain Silo Storages and Installation Services. The similarity shall be based on the physical size, complexity, methods/technology or other characteristics as described in Section VI, Employer’s Requirements.

In case a bidder presents its similar experience, which have been performed as subcontractor, the percentage value of the subcontracting must meet the minimum requirement

All bidders participated in the pre-bid meeting raised the concern that in terms of specific experience they have completed several silo projects with a capacity of 50,000 MT or higher, but the value is less than the required threshold set in Kabul Silo bidding documents (US$ 4.7 million). Thus, it is unlikely that potential bidders do not have a single similar contract during the last five years with a value of $4.7 million or higher

SGR agreed that the sum of two (2) similar prime contracts can be used to meet only the contract value requirement (US$ 4.7 million) in the specific experience.  In terms of silo storage capacity, the requirement has not changed. Bidders must have a similar single contract for a 50,000 MT steel silo project to be qualified for this bid.

PCC 13.2 Advance Payment: 10% of total contract value will be paid up on contract signature after receiving advance payment guarantee from a reputed bank.

 Conveyor type and  auto truck unloader for 4 trucks which unloaded at the same time, two of them are manually unloaded and two of them are supplied with automatic unloaded truck system

Loading system or the receiving hoppers silo plant (Intake) is 6 noes intakes’, truck accesses to both side of the Intake with automatic bagging system and dumper truck unloading system, the total capacity is 300 MT/H with 2 conveyors @ 150 MT/H each, all hoppers shall be connected two conveyors automatically

Take off or unloading system of silo plant is 4 noes unloading system, the total capacity is 140 MT/H with 3 automatic unloading bagging @ 30 MT/H and one 50 MT/H truck hoppers tack off.

Office building finishing materials.

Office building finishing: Office floor building is furnished by marble. Toilets wall and floors are tile and ceramics. Laboratory floor is granite tile and the walls are tile.

Interior office walls are brick masonry, plaster and paint with RCC roof covered by steel truss and iron sheets.

Office buildings exterior walls and roof are insulated for thermal purpose.

Office building doors and windows.

Office Building Toilet doors are PVC. Interior doors are hollow metal with hollow metal frames.

The exterior doors are heavy duty metal

s)  Parking area for 10 long vehicles at least 40 ft. trucks + trailer, tandem and covered parking area for 10 small cars.

Surface or wearing course of the parking and roads are coast in place RCC and related lighting system is per IESNA handbook and NEC standard.

It has been decided after discussion that Sub-contractor must meet the following requirements of sub contracted parts of the contract:

• Similar contract in construction of (Civil Work): 90%
• Annual turnover: 110%
• Available balance: 30%
• At least one similar contract in construction of site plan civil work, utilities and facilities of site plan in the last 5 years.
