The pomegranate harvest season in Farah province has just begun and is expected to reach up to 150,000 Metric Tons this year.

As a result of the efforts of Farah's Agriculture Department and Gardeners of this province, more than eight thousand and 572 Hectares of land in this province have been planted with pomegranate Orchards.

Distribution of thousands of Pomegranate Seedlings, training of Gardeners and establishment of demonstration Farms are the main collaborations of Farah Agriculture Department for the development of Pomegranate Orchards.

Pomegranate Orchards are mostly located in the center and districts of Pashtrood, Khak-e-Sefid, Anardara and Bala Block districts of Farah.
