Only through a single project Ministry of Agriculture has distributed 188 Fruit and Vegetable Dryers to Agricultural Women this year

The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has distributed 188 Fruit dryers to women farmers in seven provinces this year through, Agricultural Product Management Project by the Management of the (HVCDSP) Horticulture Value Chain Development Project.
The distribution of these Fruit dryers was a total of 28 Million and 902 thousand Afghanis with a 20 percent share paid by women farmers and 80 percent by the Ministry of Agriculture.
These Fruit and Vegetable dryers work with solar energy and each has the capacity to dry 50 to 70 KG of fruit at a time.
By using these devices, the benefited farmers can dry a large amount of surplus fruits left over from consumption and sell them at the right time.
These Sun-dried Fruit and Vegetable dryers have been distributed to 188 farmers in Kabul, Bamyan, Ghazni, Paktia, Paktika, Logar and Maidan Wardak provinces.
