The construction of some onion warehouses in Bamyan is up to 70% complete

Bamyan Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock decorates says, that construction of some new onion warehouses is almost 70% complete in the Province.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock started construction of 42 onion warehouses in Bamyan, by launching new Agricultural projects across the country through the Corona-area crop management project.
Abdul Wahab Mohammadi, Head of Bamyan Agriculture Department said, that the process of building onion warehouses was going well in the Province, and that some of them were up to 70 percent complete.
He said that 42 onion warehouses are supposed to be built for farmers in the province, all of which will be built in the center and in the Shibar, Sighan and Kahmard districts.
Meanwhile, Khan Ali, a farmer in the Steel Valley in central Bamyan, who is building an onion warehouse through a crop management program, says, his work is about 70 percent complete.
Previously, we could not grow any onions because they could not be maintained, and now that the Onion warehouse has been built, we can grow and maintain onions.
Haji Sultan, another farmer who also works in the Potato trade said: Previously, due to the lack of onions Storages were not grown much in these areas, so we ask the Ministry of Agriculture to distribute improved onion seeds and farmers' technical tips to further promote onions.
The focus is more on building onion warehouses in Shibar and Kahmard districts, as these districts have a suitable climate for growing onions.
