“Golden Investment Opportunities in Afghanistan's Agriculture Sector” Introduced in London

Nasir Ahmad Durrani, minister of agriculture, irrigation, and livestock (MAIL), attended the second Afghanistan-UK trade and investment conference in London.

Minister Durrani invited British businessmen to invest in this field, presenting a package of investment opportunities at the conference.

Mr. Durrani cited investment opportunities in the agricultural sector as a golden opportunity and promised through cooperation with those who would be ready to invest in this important sector.

Agriculture minister also reminded those traders working in the export of agricultural products to the UK that demand for natural or "Organic" agricultural products in the UK is on the rise and that the Ministry of Agriculture is ready to develop standards, licensing and certification to support the export of Afghan agricultural products to the UK.

The conference, organized in partnership with the Afghan and British Chambers of Commerce, aims to develop business relations between Afghanistan and the United Kingdom and to encourage British investments in Afghanistan.
