Emergency Agriculture and Food safety Project Meeting Held in MAIL Basic Technical issues were discussed and agreed

the meeting was held under the chairmanship of Heshmatullah Ghafouri, Deputy Minister of Irrigation and Natural Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture, with a technical discussion on launching an emergency project on agriculture and food security.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the World Bank and the Ministry of Finance.
In the meeting, a preliminary discussion was held on the future activities of the new project, and it was decided that in the future, a memorandum of understanding for the start of this project would be signed and its work would begin.
Implementation of this 100 Million$ Agriculture and Food Safety Emergency Project will begin soon to curb the Negative effects of Covid-19 or the Corona Virus.
Working in a drainage system, constructing irrigation networks, distributing improved seeds to increase wheat yields, and other construction and development work are the details of Emergency Agriculture and Food Safety Project.
At this meeting, the activities were agreed in principle.
As part of Agriculture and Food Security Emergency Project, improved seeds are distributed to increase wheat yields in 34 provinces.
And other activities are carried out according to the capacity of each province.
