Dozens of women Plant Saplings at Kolola-Poshta

As the planting process continued, dozens of women planted sapling in a campaign launched by the Ministry of Agriculture to plant sapling in green belt area.
The planting campaign was attended by Nazira Rahman, deputy minister of economic empowerment of the Ministry of Women's Affairs, Aqalah Housi, and First Lady Advisor, female employees of General Directorate of Environment, Kabul Green Directorate and officials from the Ministry of Agriculture (MAIL)
Mohammad Aman Amaniar, director of forests at MAIL, at the beginning of the planting campaign said, "This year, a total of 65 planting campaigns were planned across the country, starting at 20 o'clock and continuing today with National Planting Campaign, this campaign is specifically for women."
Mr. Amaniar stated about the plans of the Ministry of Agriculture to rehabilitate forests in 1400. Added, "In order to rehabilitate the forests from the development budget of the Ministry of Agriculture, 6.4 million walnut seedlings, pistachios, almonds and beers have been considered as direct seedlings, which is implemented in 16 provinces."
Meanwhile, Nazira Rahman, deputy minister of women's affairs, said that women have a responsibility to participate alongside men in all areas, adding that women have a responsibility to contribute side by side to men in the greenery and prosperity of the homeland, because women make up half of society and they have proven this in the past, and now we have done it to increase this role. We women plant more than one million saplings across the country during the year 1400.
Meanwhile, Tamna Daei, director of protected areas of MAIL, said, “The aim of the campaign is to engage women in greenery and create a green environment. Adding that although the role of women in the green of the environment was very small, women played a 70% role in making the environment green. She further said that there are women who dedicate an environmentally friendly and protective child to the community.
Other participants in the campaign also spoke about the value and benefits of planting seedlings and described it as a public responsibility.
