Women’s’ Agricultural Products Showcase in Samangan

Samangan Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Directorate reported that an exhibition was held in the provincial capital, Aibak, in order to empower women in the province.
The exhibition, sponsored by the German government, was held by the provincial agriculture directorate, which showcased women’s agricultural products.
Mohammad Rahman Arghandiwal, provincial agriculture director, said that dairy products, medical plants, and home-made garden products were exhibited in the exhibition.
Mr. Arghandiwal added that at the beginning of the year agricultural equipment were distributed for 180 women in the province. Moreover, 1,340 women were trained in horticulture and agricultural fields.
