One of Herat Longest Irrigation Network is under Reconstruction

The reconstruction of one of the longest irrigation network in Herat province continues and will be completed in the next few months.
The network, located in “Roj” village of Ghoryan district, is 9.5 kilometers long.
The reconstruction of the network is being funded by the On Farm Water Management Project (OFWMP) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL).
Upon reconstruction of the network, over 1,362 acres of lands will be irrigated, benefiting 1,000 residents of Ghoryan district.
