National Wheat Policy Draft Review Meeting

The meeting to review the draft national wheat policy and action plan to achieve self-sufficiency in production of this crop was chaired by Dr. Anwar al-Haq Ahady, minister of agriculture(MAIL), with the participation of deputies, advisors and directors  of various directorates of MAIL.
The meeting was held in the office of the Minister of Agriculture. Mr. Ahady said, “Increasing crop and irrigated wheat fields and developing irrigation systems, timely distribution of improved seeds and chemical fertilizers to achieve self-sufficiency in wheat production are among our top priorities.
Regarding the National Wheat Policy and Action Plan to achieve self-sufficiency in wheat production, Ahady expressed his guidelines and directions for enriching national wheat policy and action plan to achieve self-sufficiency in wheat production.
After that, the deputies, directors and advisors of MAIL presented their viewpoints and suggestions in this regard.
