Farah Pomegranate Production Increases by 11 Percent

Farah Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Directorate reported that pomegranate production has increased by 11 percent this year in the province.
According to the directorate, 8,284 hectares of land were cultivated pomegranate trees, producing 145,000 metric tons of pomegranate.
The directorate added that pomegranate production was 130,536 metric tons in 2018 (1397 Solar Year).
Farah Agriculture Directorate further stated that 17.5 metric tons of pomegranate was collected from each hectare of land.
