More than one ton of sesame oil is produced daily in Sar-e-Pul

The Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Sar-e-Pul province said that the production of sesame oil in this province reaches 1.38 metric tons per day.
The production of sesame oil in Sar-e-Pul province has reached 502 metric tons this year.
People who work in the sesame industry said, “Sesame oil is produced in two traditional and modern ways by small machines.”
In addition to meeting the needs of Sar-e-Pul province, the produced oils are also exported to neighboring provinces such as Jawzjan and Balkh.
Meanwhile,  Statistics office information shows that sesame oil worth $ 31,629 was exported in the first six months of this year. Sesame oil exports are expected to increase dramatically by the end of the year.
