Minister of Agriculture in Inauguration of Chicken grain Production’s Section of Al-Badr Production Complex: Self-sufficiency in chicken production is one of our priorities for the next four years

The chicken grain production and grain processing section of Al-Badr Production Complex was exploited in the presence of Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahadi, minister of agriculture, irrigation and livestock.
At the ceremony, the Minister of Agriculture said, “Strengthening the sector of livestock is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock MAIL, and efforts are being made to make Afghanistan self-sufficient in chicken meat production within the next four years with the cooperation of the private sector.”
Mr. Ahadi said that currently the country produces about 220 tons of chicken meat a year, yet, 290 tons of chicken meat is needed to be produced in a year.
Ahadi also added that lack of chicken grains was one of the major issues or problems facing the poultry industry, and now, fortunately, this problem can be eliminated with the investment of investors. Mr. Ahadi added that one of its examples is the Al-Badr chicken grain production factory, which produces 120 tons of chicken grain per day.
He further stated at the ceremony that MAIL has always helped investors in the livestock and horticulture sector and this process will continue.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Baz Ghairat, director of Al-Badr Production Complex, thanked the Minister of Agriculture for his attention and said that "80,000 people are directly and indirectly employed in this production complex.”
Mr. Ghairat thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture MAIL and noted that there are 11,000 poultry farms in Afghanistan that produce 200,000 chickens and also produce chicken seeds in 15 factories.
The Director of Al-Badr Complex said, “Their chicken grain factory produces 10 tons of chicken grain a year and there are three types, called 10, 20 and 30.”
Mr. Ghairat called on the Minister of Agriculture that arbitrary exports must be stopped In order to strengthen the private sector.
He added that our production complex has a large capacity, our poultry farm produces 2,000 chickens in 45 days, and the grain processing factory in 80 hours, 80 tons of grain and the Zahed Zaki rice processing factory," He said, “Al-Badr processes 120 tons of rice at the highest level in 24 hours."
Al-Badr Production Complex on is built in 250 acres of land at a cost of $ 41 million in Bag-rami district of Kabul.
The complex currently operates in six sections. The areas covered by Al-Badr Complex include poultry farming, poultry production, rice processing, grain processing, carton production, bogie production, livestock farming, coal refining, mineral water production and agriculture.
