MAIL Ranked First in Information Sharing

Based on the investigative report of the Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA) from the government’s institutions, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL) was ranked first among 20 governmental institutions in disseminating information to citizens. And won the Golden Key to Information.
Said akram Afzaly head of Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA) said we, surveyed 20 Departments, including the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture took the first position in disseminating information with 47 points.
Mr Afzaly said that the Ministry of Agriculture has done a very good job, adding that it could act as role model for other institutions.
Ainuddin Bahaduri, head of access to information commission, said the publication of 80,000 different documents on the Ministry of Agriculture's website was a huge change in access to information.
He added that access to information promotes Economic growth.
The work carried out in the Ministry of Agriculture should be copied by other institutions.
Mohammad Tahir Zaheer, acting minister of the Ministry of Information and Culture said in the program, that the Ministry of Agriculture has promoted Digital government by creating the conditions for informing the people while realizing the rights of citizens.
