10 Tons of Saffron Onions distributed to farmers in Kabul

Distribution of 10,000 Kilos of Saffron Onions to farmers began in Kabul Province.
Omar Jan Mangal, Kabul's director of Agriculture said that the amount of Saffron would be distributed to 20 Farmers in 14 districts of Kabul and urban Agriculture, so that they could plant it in pre-designated semi-detached Farms.
He said, that Saffron farms are cultivated and cared for under the supervision of technical and professional staff of the Kabul Department of Agriculture, and that Saffron farmers are given vocational training.
Saffron is a High-Yielding and expensive Crop that plays an important role in the growth of the Peasant economy and the growth of the National economy.
