A joint-laying Hen breeding Farm exploited in Balkh

Balkh Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Department, in cooperation with the Second National Priority Support Program (SNaPP-2), established a laying Hen farm with a capacity of 350 chickens with a 30% joint investment of the private sector and 70% of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock. and was put into operation.
The cost of establishing and equipping this Poultry Farm is 545,714 Afghanis, which includes Poultry, Poultry feed, Feeders, Air conditioners, Sanitary ware, essential medicines and vaccines, cover equipment, Windows and gate of the farm.
This equipment has been provided with the financial and technical cooperation of the Second National Priority Support program of the Ministry of Agriculture and private investment of a livestock entrepreneur in Zarghunakot village of Balkh district of Balkh province.
The purpose of creating and equipping this Poultry Farm is to attract private sector investment in the livestock sector, create jobs among livestock entrepreneurs and raise the income level of Rural Livestock Farmers.
