An Administrative Meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture Held on Budget Spending

The administrative meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) was held with participation of the Minister of Agriculture, deputies, central directors and project managers of this ministry regarding the use of normal and development budgets and achievement of the set goals.
In the outset of the meeting, Abdul Hadi Rafiyi, deputy minister of finance and administration of MAIL, provided details about the use of normal and development budgets, the contradiction in the mid-year budget and implementation of involuntary projects.
He said,” Due to reduction of normal and development budgets of the Ministry of Agriculture, there is a need to seriously save budget spending. He explained that according to the request of the Ministry of Finance, it is necessary to prioritize optional projects in order to finance the necessary projects from the non-voluntary budget with cooperation of donors.”
Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahady, MAIL minister, also referred to the changes and discrepancies in mid-year budget and instructed all central and provincial directorates of the ministry to seriously save on the normal budget.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Agriculture further stated that all projects are obliged to use the available facilities to achieve the goals set by Ministry of Agriculture in terms of spending the development budget so that services can be provided on a substantive basis.
