50,000 Acres of new Gardens have been built in Kapisa in last five years

Kapisa Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Department said that in last five years, 50,000 acres of new gardens have been built in the province.
Homayoun Habib Head of the Kapisa Agriculture Department said, that some of the orchards were dense apples.
He added, that the yield of Kapisa Apples reaches more than 8,898 Metric Tons per year.
Abdul Karim Karimi head of the National Horticulture and Livestock Program in Kapisa's Kohistan II district said, that since 2013, 675 acres of various orchards including, dense apple orchards have been built in the district alone.
According to him, the benefit of Dense apple orchards is that they bear fruit more quickly and are sold at the right price at the right time.
In one acre of dense apple orchards, 450 seedlings are planted, and the crops of these orchards usually ripen and bear fruit in the month of Assad.
Meanwhile, gardeners for whom dense gardens have been built are happy with its products.
Rahm khoda who is a farmer in Qazaq Village in the second part of the mountain, for whom the Ministry of Agriculture built an acre of dense apple orchard on rented land five years ago, says he will earn 400,000 Afghanis from selling his orchards this year.
The farmer emphasizes, that the yields of dense orchards are four times higher than those of traditional orchards.
