The first phase of Daikundi Valley Natural Resources Management Project completed

The Forest Rehabilitation Project, which was started by Directorate of Agriculture in cooperation with Aga Khan Foundation on May 1, 2019 to boost ecosystem has been ended with significant achievements.
the main achievements of this project are, Regulation of drainage in an area of 920 hectares of land in Miramar and Shahrestan districts through construction of water sheets, soil and stone dams, planting of almond, mountainous , stone and pistachio seeds, rehabilitation and protection of 113 hectares of pastures, construction of 230 green house, creating a system In order to irrigate 48 hectares of land, constructing of 11 water reservoirs, building sixteen Home-nurseries to produce seedlings, plant seedlings on 48 hectares of land, building 561 home gardens and set up dozens of workshops to increase the capacity of farmers.
The project is funded by the United Nations Development Program and South Korea. The next phase of the project is scheduled to be launched soon in all Daikundi districts.
