The Minister of Agriculture and Governor of Bamyan Discuss Growth of Agriculture and Horticulture

Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahady met with Sayed Anwar Rahmati the governor of Bamyan in his office. During the meeting, they discussed agricultural and horticultural development plans and natural resources.
The Governor of Bamyan, Sayed Anwar Rahmati, while appreciating the implemented programs of the Ministry of Agriculture (MAIL) in 1399 in Bamyan province, said that this province has various capacities in agriculture and horticulture and besides potatoes, some other products of this province such as apples, pear, apricots and cherries have been grown dramatically. With this in mind, the governor of Bamyan called for expansion of the programs of MAIL in the mentioned horticultural sectors.
The governor of Bamyan reminded: "The buildings created based on the agricultural products management plan in 1399, has played a major role in improving the price of apples and potatoes, and we want to build 100 remaining potato warehouses."
Mr. Rahmati further added that there was capacity in the livestock and pasture management sector in Bamyan, and we ask the ministry to plan to build a green belt around the Amir Dam.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahadi, minister of agriculture, irrigation and livestock, said that the management of agricultural products of the ministry of agriculture is fulfilling its obligations and regarding the green belt around Band-e-Amir, we will guide its work to be accelerated and implemented in the future.
