The Private Sector Development Executive Committee (PriSEC) Team Meeting Was Held

A Meeting with the working team of the Private Sector Development Executive Committee (PriSEC) chaired by Mr. Hashmatullah Ghafoori , deputy minister of irrigation and natural resources of the Ministry of Agriculture (MAIL), with the participation of the Advisor to the First Vice President, the Advisor of the PriSEC Committee, the Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock Production, the Federation of Afghan Chambers of Commerce and a number of relevant directors of MAIL.
Hashmatullah Ghafoori , said that in 2021 (1400), 14 modern cold storages will be built in 12 provinces of the country with a capacity of 1,500 metric tons for fruits and vegetables which are actually in process. Eight small 100-ton cold storages will also be built in those districts with the most major crops, as well as three quarantine facilities in the port provinces and six large fruit and vegetable processing centers.
In this meeting, about the progress of implementation of reforms by the responsible departments, on the privatization of agricultural exhibitions by the private sector in Badam Bagh, equipping animal and vegetable quarantine laboratories in port provinces, accelerating the process of establishing modern cold storages in fruit and vegetable gardens a standard process for agricultural products, especially prunes, sugar cane and jujube, was discussed in the provinces that produce the most of these fruits.
Six percent subsidy on projects for children and women working in the carpet weaving industry, as well as problems in the aisle for exporting agricultural products, as well as the seedling project for peace, were discussed at the meeting.
