Jawzjan Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Directorate said that some 16,000 hectares of land are under melon cultivation, the yields of which have increased by 50 percent compared to last year.
The directorate added that melon yields have doubled this year compared to the previous year.
According to the directorate, suitable weather has helped boost melon yields.
