Growing of Fruitful and Decorative Saplings begins in Helmand

Growing and cultivating of fruitful and ornamental sapling was started by Helmand’s Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock in 20 acres of land in Anar Bagh.
Zalmai Alko, Helmand’s director of agriculture, irrigation and livestock, said that during this nursing period, seedlings of various fruitful and fruitless tree seedlings will be grown to be given to the province's landowners and gardeners in the future.
According to Mr. Alko, the Directorate t of Agriculture of Helmand Province has recently researched how various fruitful and ornamental trees, and in addition to getting good results, is now attempting to grow more of these trees in nursing periods and reach out to Helmand’s landowners and gardeners.
Zalmai Alko says that his Directorate wants to propagate and promote those trees which are compatible with the soil and climate of Helmand province and have new varieties and valuable fruits to provide better employment opportunities for farmers and gardeners to increase their income.
It should be said, “That this year, Helmand’s Directorate of Agriculture has distributed 100,000 seedlings and about one million fruitful and ornamental seedlings prepared by the private sector (PS) in the province.
