Condensed Biography of Mohammad Taher Ayub, acting deputy minister for finance and admin at MAIL

Mohammad Taher Ayub was born in Takhar’s Taliqan in 1972 (1351 Solar Year). Mr. Ayub graduated from Abo Usman Taliqani High School of Takhar in 1991 (1370 Solar Year) and after passing Kankor Matriculation Exam (University Entrance Exam), he succeeded to engineering faculty of Balkh University. He also got his MA degree in Business Administration from Azad Islamic University in 2012 (1392 Solar Year) in Kabul.
He began his fist job as Finance and Admin manager at USAID from 1992-2003. During 2003-2005, he worked as provincial manager for the implementation of the National Solidarity Program.
He was also regional provincial manager of Afghan Wireless Communication Company (AWCC) and Ariana Television Network in north east zone during 2004-2006.
Considering his merit and success, he was appointed as Takhar rural rehabilitation and development director through an open competition and served until 2011.
In 2011, he succeeded to pass the Capacity Building for Results Program “CBR” exam and be appointed as human resources director at the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD).
Knowledge, experience and success in the work led Mr. Ayub to the post of Human Resource Director at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL). Following a presidential decree in 2018, he was appointed as acting deputy minister for finance and admin at MAIL.

Mr. Ayub also has enough experience in the field of training engineer seafarers, financial and accounting, planning, renewable energy, and capacity building of government officials.
