Khost, Wardak, Kunduz, Herat, Balkh, Bamyan, Baghlan, Takhar, Helmand, Nangarhar, Faryab, Kabul, Laghman, Kunar, Logar, Parwan, Sar-i-pul and Kandahar

The project aims for seed enterprises in several provinces in Afghanistan to be able to produce and sell diversified certified seed of staple crops on a sustainable basis.

Progress/ Achievements
Procurement and importation of machinery for the total cost of USD 6.8 million, distribution of machinery,
establishment of 20 new seed enterprises, selection of 41 existing seed enterprises, selection of 10 ARIA and 4 ISE stations. Construction of 39 storage/office facilities ongoing, provision of trainings (machinery, agrotechnique, business) will continue up to end of the project.

Security is the main challenge for this project.
