If you want to lease and invest in Afghanistan, your biggest problems are over. Arazi is the new transparent and high-tech agency, built on the most successful models from Western countries and Pacific Basin, helping you lease land for industry, farming or grazing.
The Government of Afghanistan owns approximately 6 million hectares of unused land. TheMinistry of Agriculture created the Afghanistan Land Authority(Arazi),to develop and implement a strategy to lease land for agricultural, agro-processing, and industrial purposes. Arazihas been given the responsibility to inventory all government-owned land, establish fair and transparent procedures for its leasing, and set up a one-stop window that makes leasing attractive to both domestic and foreign investors.
Arazi was initially established as a project in September 2010 and later on as a trusted autonomous entity aimed to remove major national economic constraints by improving access to governmental lands for commercial activities. The mandate of the authority is to coordinate its activities with the Afghan government, line ministries, donors and private sector organizations, to ensure that land needed for productive investment is made available in the country.
